The work side of things

Useful things.
Built with care.

I’m a full-stack software engineer and co-founder of Sherpa Systems. I like making complicated things understandable, building tools people can rely on, and helping a team find its footing.

Based in Greenville, SC
Always something in the works.

01 / The path so far

Learning by doing.

A few places I’ve put that curiosity to work.
Open a chapter for the details.

Sherpa SystemsCo-Founder & Software EngineerJan 2026 – Present

Modern marketing sites, CRM integrations, and AI-assisted delivery for small businesses.

I own the delivery stack: Astro sites on Cloudflare, Twenty CRM integrations, internal tools, and branch-and-PR workflows with automated checks.

I build AI-assisted workflows that connect discovery, content, SEO, implementation, and reviewed releases.

SimpliphySoftware EngineerMar 2024 – Jul 2026

Physician compensation software, where the details really matter.

I designed and shipped a tenant-wide role-based access control refactor for a legacy Rails application, and maintained the features and calculations behind physician compensation.

I delivered hospital-system integration middleware for Parquet files containing hundreds of thousands of rows, and introduced AI-assisted development within existing testing and review practices.

ScopeStackSoftware Developer IIJan 2023 – Mar 2024

Helping IT service providers scope and price their work.

I led the React application’s migration to TypeScript and Redux, and established standards used across the engineering team.

I implemented LaunchDarkly feature flags, introduced testing patterns and a coverage baseline, and mentored teammates in front-end development and debugging.

OfficeSpace SoftwareSoftware Engineer IISep 2021 – Jan 2023

Workplace software for space planning, desk booking, and getting people settled.

I owned the Microsoft Teams integration from implementation through its initial customer rollout.

I built full-stack features with React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Apollo, Ruby on Rails, and Node.js, with tests across the stack.

Digital ScientistsDeveloper I (promoted from Support Developer)Oct 2019 – Sep 2021

Web and native mobile products at a product design and development studio.

I started as a Support Developer and was promoted to Developer I within ten months. I built the studio’s SaaS product with Ruby on Rails.

I also developed native iOS features with Swift, SwiftUI, AVKit, and Core Bluetooth, and supported client applications in Node.js, Rails, and Python.

The Home DepotSoftware Development Engineer InternSummers 2018 & 2019

Two summers learning how to build things that keep other things running.

On the Merchandising Site Reliability Engineering team, I built internal tools in React and Go to monitor resources on Google Cloud Platform.
